In addition to being one of the worlds most noted tenors, Placido Domingo has turned his talents to conducting. In 2001 he conducted the Berlin Philharmonics annual summer concert, which yearly devotes itself to a particular countrys theme. In this case the country of Spain was selected and among the works performed that night were Vives Fandango, Strauss Spanischer Marsch, Rimsky-Korsakovs Capriccio Espagnol, Massenets Meditation and others.
